Commercial Description:
Rahr's Red is a delicious, medium-bodied amber beer. As it crosses over your tongue, you'll notice a bit of caramel-like malt character. You'll also notice a slight hops bitterness-there to remind you that despite its subtle flavoring Rahr's Red is a Texas beer.

The color was a crisp amber with a thin, white, and fizzy head. The aroma was sweet, acidic, and fruit. the flavor was spiced and fruity. The palate was very carbonated. The finish was clean.

Pours a hazy red with a one finger tan frothy head. The nose is grainy, sweet, definite lager character, caramel. The flavor is grainy, some grassy hop character, lightly sweet. Crisp mouthfeel. Not one I would do again.

Pours amber. Not too super. Not a fan of Rahr beers. A bit watery, nothing special. Have another? Pay me?

Bottle. The pour was ruby and brown in color. Thin off-white head with minimal lacing. Corny, malty aroma with some underlying medicinal notes. The flavor was light sweet caramel and some hoppiness with that same medicinal flavor. Thin body. I didn’t really care for it. I should have had a Bud Light Lime instead.

Bottle courtesy of Mar. Pours copper with a decent white head. Smells of sweet malt. Tastes spicy with some sweet malt hints. Wish I could say more, but there isn’t much going on here.
