Commercial Description:
Rahr's Red is a delicious, medium-bodied amber beer. As it crosses over your tongue, you'll notice a bit of caramel-like malt character. You'll also notice a slight hops bitterness-there to remind you that despite its subtle flavoring Rahr's Red is a Texas beer.

Says amber on the bottle but i guess its a vienna. Either way its crap. Poured this one down the drain. Pours an amber color with a small white head that is gone almost instantly. Smells state and skunky. Tastes like old hops malt and water. Meh.

12oz bottle acquired in trade with bu11zeye (thanks!). Poured a medium amber color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of toasted malts, bready, caramel and a dash of citrus. Tastes of caramel, toasted malts and lighter breadiness.

fort worth wooo!!!! go us! I’m really proud to have a brewery here in my home town. I pretty much like ever beer these guys make. my favorite is their summer wheat. This one isn’t bad either, it was obviously dark amber almost brown with a small head. it had a slight bitter taste, a dark/roasted-like flavor and was real smooth.

Aroma didn’t knock my socks off...musty, yeasty, bready notes with some hops hiding in there. Nice deep, garnet color with an off-white head that quickly dissipated. Sweet, caramel/toffee notes with a slightly burnt finish. Body was a bit thin. A somewhat pedestrian amber ale...nothing I would actively seek out.

Almost clear light amber color with a medium off-white head. Malty with toffee notes a light citrusy hop. Semi-sweet. Dull light malty flavor. Some earthy notes. Thin and watery finish.

12oz bottle via trade with legion242 - Pours pale copper with a short offwhite head. Aromas of light caramel and maybe a touch of grass. Flavor is about the same.. Caramel and light grass.. Maybe a touch of cardboard too. Palate is sweet and this just seems to lack depth.. Not too good..

Draught at Cricket’s Grill, Waco
In December it was available in many pubs around Texas, probably a re-edition of the Yellow Rose Buffalo Butt; more than one bartender confirmed that the beer came from Rahr

Light amber color. It seems to be a reasonable beer (an Ale probably, smooth and with a delicate malt taste), but spoiled by a light medicine aftertaste.

Draught at the brewery
Hazy amber color. Aroma of simple Lager. The flavor is not much better, with just a touch of caramel.
