Nov 6, 2005 I wanted to like this beer (Texan pejudice) I really did. But there was just nothing going on here for me. Very thin. Very watery. They must have saved a fortune on ingredients. Ho hum. Pleasant color. October swill. Drinkable but overpriced. Attractive packaging. Cool bottlecap. It just needs...................well, anything.

Oct 28, 2005 12 oz bottle via trade w/ TChrome. Pours a light copper, craggy white 1/2 inch head, lively carbonation, good lacing down to the end. Aroma of sweet caramel malt and soft floral hops. Not overwhelming but very pleasant. Cookie-like malty flavor with a lightly bitter and crisp finish. Medium bodied with lively carbonation on the mouthfeel. This is a nice all around session beer. If this were available in my area it would definately be a regular fridge filler. Good example of a traditionally less than stellar "Amber Lager style.

Sep 20, 2005 A very clear true amber that leans to the redder end of the amber spectrum. The head is a nice sized, slightly sticky foam with appropriate staying power. The aroma is light. The flavor is extrememly clean a light toast and caramel malt in the middle and a small, slightly metallic bitterness lingers in the finish. Borders on bland, but definitely a techinically flawless lager.

Sep 13, 2005 This was a another good brew from rahr! taste is similar to samual adams lager, but not as wood-like...some head, little lacing, RUBY in color, a satisfying brew

Jun 24, 2005 A fairly watery amber/red colored lager. A medium sized head forms with a slightly fruity mostly hoppy aroma. Very drinkable but unimpressive. A good Texas brew I assume since it is easy to drink in the heat of the day.

Jun 8, 2005 From a trade with Kevin. The body is dark amber with a slightly off white and persistent head. The aroma is nutty with bread and apples. The taste has bread crust with a little bit of grapefruit. The finish is nutty with a little bit of spice.

May 22, 2005 Updated: Feb 10, 2009The aroma is a nice floral hops scent, and the beer pours a perfect ruby red. But the taste... ugh! Is this beer, or hopped water? The palate is nice and smooth, but water usually is. Add some flavor and get back to me. Until then... I’ll avoid. Update: I’m drinking molten copper wire. Avoid.

May 13, 2005 Thanks to Kevin for the bottle. Pours a orange amber. Medium sized white head very fizzy, dissapates quickly. Some ambery malt aromatics with a slightly floral hop note. Mild nose, divulges some toasty flavors, hop presence mainly in a lingering residual bitterness. Mouthfeel is watery.
