| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 12, 2008 Clear gold with a tight head. Aroma is yeasty, spicy peppercorn more like a Belgian Blond or Vienna lager. Smooth medium body. Flavor is mainly dry with bready pale malt and spicy yeast. Finishes nicely bitter. OK i get it now, a German style IPA.... different for sure. BuckeyeBoy (1689), Boise, Idaho, USA

Tast more of the malts. i can’t say I picked up much hops for an IPA.??? BückDich (4857), McCall, Idaho, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | May 20, 2008 Bottle: Pale gold, light white head and nice lacing. Nose of flat dry (not the verb, the adjective) hops, some sour malt and light yeast esters. The flavor is a little hoppy, but comes across as an underseasoned steak, just bland. Grassy tail. Eh. Citrusy, sour, a little all over. Cletus (5060), Connecticut, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Apr 9, 2008 12oz bottle purchased from Central Market in Dallas. Poured into a shaker.
Appearance: Golden yellow with a nice amount of carbonation. Nice white head which was long lasting. Nice lacing down the sides of the glass.
Aroma: A nice amount of sweet malt instantly hits the nose. A very slight hint of citrus hops is present.
Taste: Nice caramel malt with a slight hint of citrus and floral hops. A more pronounced bittering hop finish was present. Nice mouthfeel. Clean tasting and smooth.
Overall: Unfortunately, this is mislabeled in my opinion. This is a lightly hopped dortmunder/helles or pilsner (a bit more than both of those styles are generally hopped). If one was looking for an "IPA" this isn’t going to satisfy you. But, I think this could be an excellent "gateway" beer for those wanting to go from american light lagers to IPAs. blutt59 (2182), Dallas, Texas, USA

Pours golden orange with amber hues, small white head, rimming. Nose is not very discernible. Taste is a touch wheaty w/ malt toffee and some spice. Hops are very mellow. Just tasty. Not like anything else. Good experience. HarmonKill-a-Brew (320), Wilmar, Arkansas, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 9, 2008 Nice beery aroma. Decent bite of hops in the flavor. This beer is appropriately named "Stormcloud" as the appearance is cloudy and looks more like a wheat beer than an IPA.
