| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 14, 2007 Pours a clear light gold with a tall, white rocky head. Aroma is light toasted grains and a grassy, floral base, a little nutty, a little spicy.
Taste is a very light pale malt with a crisp hop bitterness. Only a very shallow presence of any traditional pine or citrus, and then only at the front. Everything else is floral, dried hay and Sazzy. Overall quite bitter, not much sweetness at all.
Mouthfeel is light and clean, finish leaves the palate dry. Drinkability is extremely high, even quaffable. Might impress some as a hoppy, heavier pilsner if not for that touch of citrus. A successful experiment as a "German IPA," IMO. Cavie (1400), Fort Worth, Texas, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 4, 2009 Not a bad IPA. It doesn’t bowl me over with hops, which I appreciate. Some don’t care for that but I really like it. A much more subtle approach to an IPA. Cereviseator (12), USA

More of an american pale ale. Deep amber-gold with a thick head that lasts...nice lacing. Nice spicy, herbal hop aroma. Resiny hop flavor with a touch of maltiness and long, dry finish. unclemattie (2414), Georgia, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 17, 2009 12oz twist-off bottle. Hazy golden orange, tall off-white head of foam. Nice citrus hop, some straw, and a bit of caramel. Bready malt flavor. Very dry. Spicy and finishes with a nice linering hop character. Medium bodied. very tasty and full flavored. nice hop bite. bhensonb (4274), Woodland, California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 6, 2009 Another ericandersnavy production. Pours light copper with a fluffy white head of large bubbles. Aromas of lightly roasted malt and spicey/grassy hop. Medium body with loosely frothy carbonation. Flavor is kind of like a bready hoppy pilsner. The grassiness renders it slightly astringent. Sort of demonstrates how beer styles can move together. Finishes bitter, and really enjoyable. Not a NW hop bomb, but it’s bitterly bitter, and that is what counts. HarmonKill-a-Brew (318), Wilmar, Arkansas, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 9, 2008 Nice beery aroma. Decent bite of hops in the flavor. This beer is appropriately named "Stormcloud" as the appearance is cloudy and looks more like a wheat beer than an IPA. Kevin (1918), Colorado, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 13, 2007 bottle from lumpy. light hazed yellow sticky white head. aroma is a bit different than i expected, floral and at first whiff i thought skunk, then i got a better whiff. it is a yeasty hop mix that is earthy & floral. i like the malt flavor that hides under the hops, a bit of tree bark with a less sweet caramel if that makes any sense. the hops are dominant but not overpowering. a bit of orange in the finish. spicey hop notes work well w/the light caramel.

There’s not enough hop to really call this an IPA as many have stated before me. But as a beer it’s very tasty. As a pilsner this would be phenomenal, but marketed as an IPA I just can’t really get behind it.
