Commercial Description:
Summer is here, so why hot try our new Summertime Wheat? This refreshing, lightly hopped ale has unique banana and clove-like charachteristics and it's served with the yeast. We add just a little bit of rye malt to give it a Texas kick!

Thanks legion. The beer pours with a deep, thick yellow and absolutely no clarity. It is beautifully looking especially with the sticky lacing on the glass. The aroma first starts with light bubblegum then a sweet milky banana. There is also a nice citric lemon surrounding the beer. Taste is watered down on all the sweet characteristics, has a very light-citric biscuit and faint tartness at the back of the flavor. Very quaffable beer without being watery and has a strong carbonation to go with the citric aspect. What sets this apart is the airy lightness that gives it a definite American feel to a classic Hefe.
12oz bottle, Grolsch short flute-like glass.

Very cloudy orangey yellow pour with a white two finger head that fades to a thin covering. Lemony/fruity nose, some spice notes underneath. Light and tingly mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Lemony, slightly tart and refreshing flavor, dry finish. Overall, one of Rahr’s better offerings.

Aroma is a faint wheat scent with some coriander. Color is a hazy yellow with low carbonation and a thin head. Taste is rich. Stating with a medium body it has a rich wheat flavor backed by some banana tones.

12oz bottle-A cloudy golden body with a head that dissipates quickly into a small ring. Aroma of banana, clove, lemon, and some wheat. Taste of the same with the rye coming in on the back end along with more hefe tastes. Not a bad American made hefe.

Pours a cloudy yellow into the glass with a nice off-white head that dissipated, but left a thin layer on top of the beer. Aroma of wheat and rye. The rye comes out more in the taste along with a little citrus. A little too carbonated for my taste. 12 oz. bottle.

12 oz bottle. Dusty yellow orange with jets of big bubbles and a touch of white head. Banana, lemon, clove and wheat. Refreshing lemon juice with cleansing carb. Residual wheat and rye. Citrus and carb overwhelm.

Bottle from Markus and served in my small Ayinger glass: Pours a hazy golden hue with a lasting frothy white head and okay lace. The aroma has yeast esters of banana and clove along with cereal and muddled grains (could it be because of the rye?). The taste is lucky not to be as sweet as feared. A nice lemony twang over a layer of wheat and pale malt. Some very light spice on the short and mostly clean finish. The mouth feel is sprite abit too much carbonation and is refreshing. A solid hefe even if missing a full front complexity.

12 oz bottle. Pours a hazy gold with a thin whte head that fades, and very little lace. Aroma is wheat malts, cereal, light on the yeast, clove and banana, and some lemon notes as well. Citrusy and slightly tart flavor, cereal malts, wheat, grainy and low again on the yeast character. Finishes crisp and tart. Meh.
