Pours a dark brown black color body, with a tannish, creamy looking head, okay sized and somewhat lasting. Dark roasty malty aroma, some coffee. A little skunkiness. Some fruitiness too. Enticing. Creamy mouthfeel, light fruitiness, like a hefe, some banana. Not as stouty as I was expecting. Very tasty. GodOfThunder (866), Orlando, Florida, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 4, 2009 Had a slight aftertaste which disagreed with me. Other than that, fairly solid. Tried it both bottled, and on tap at the Brewery, and it was obviously MUCH better at the Brewery. jkwalking05 (1483), Arlington, Texas, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 29, 2009 Look and smell of dark beer, but drinks like a lighter beer. Good entry beer for acquiring dark beer taste. Gets better as you drink more. Definite malt overtones yield to a slight caramel flavor at the back of the throat.
