Pours with a largish, rocky, light brown head covering a mahogany body. Nutty aroma with cinnamon, and nutmeg highlights. Spicy, nutty, sweet, and watery taste. Fizzy and dry mouthfeel. Reminds me more of a brown ale than a english strong.
Having now had this on cask, it is a decent beer, but nothing too incredible. Could have been soo much better.

Pours a reddish ruby brown in the glass with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet and toasted with some alcohol aroma. Taste leaves a little to be desired and the beer is a little thin. Though I must say, this is by far the best beer I’ve tried from the brewer.

Dark brown in color with an ok head. Aroma has some caramel with other malts. Taste, it needs more of it but there is some malts in there. Thin body. Weak for the style and the alcohol content.

pours very dark brown (almost purplish in my light), with no head to speak of. the aroma was mostly air, with a twitch of medicinal sting. not much flavor, but what is there was smoky or oaky or both. watery mouth feel. the 8% abv is way too high a price to pay for this weak effort.

Poured deep brown/red with no head.Carbonation??? where was it. Aromas of malt and burbon. Thin body with flavors of malt and a little bit of hops. Not feelin this beer at all. The only good quality about this one is how it hides the 8%ABV!

Dahrk ruby color with no real head to speak of. Malty aroma without much else. Thick yet watery consistency. Taste of nuts and hints of choc. & spicy hops. A finish that tries really hard to be bitter enough. Ugly pug is better. C-

aroma was weak and faintly sweet. looks highly carbonated/bubbly with little head. flavor is good, grapefruit hop bitterness with roasted malt finish. fair enough deal.

12 oz bottle via BA-SS-07 (thanks!). This pours a deep dark brown.Nose is all about the herbal and earthy notes. Taste is all caramel and malts with some earthy pine. Body is medium. carbonation is moderate. Not bad but could stand to have more body and more flavoe.
