On draft at the Flying Saucer in Ft. Worth. Dark brown pour with small head. Caramel and malts in the nose. Big malty flavor, sweet caramel, brown sugar, and mild spice. Smooth bodied, full flavor. Nice winter brew.

12oz bottle via trade with legion242 - Thanks - Pous dark brown with a short creamy tan head. Aromas of caramel, yeast, toffee, toasted malts, and a whiff of chocolate. Flavor is caramel, toffee, toasted malts, chocolate and even a little coffee. Medium body with light carbonation. Really though this wasn’t too bad...

Courtesy bu11zeye. Dark ruby brown and a small off white layer of foam. Nose of lightly toasted malt, english hops, and airy, bready yeast. Flavor adds toffee and cocoa. Medium body, balanced. Easy drinking, would never guess 8%. Decent.

I’d like an ABV check on this one...it is virtually invisible, leading me to think it might be incorrectly derived. Very light- bodied brew with an emphasis on the malts and less so on the "holiday" spicing...thank goodness. Pretty refreshing malt bomb with some nuttiness in the finish. But virtually NO warming effect, making me think this might be more in the 4-5% range....but I like it! Thanks Corny!

A tan head fades quickly above a body I can only peg as "reddish-brown". I find a mixture of both pale and dark malts in the aroma (which I find intrguing) along with a lemony/floral hoppiness. Flavor finds a "candy bar of maltiness" which includes chocolate, caramel and nuts... along with some mild, sour/bitter hops. A little thin in the mouth with a dry finish. A sessionable brew for the ABV.

Strong yeast aroma with a slight coffee scent. Deep brown with a medium head. Light bitter coffee flavor with some tangy roasted malts.

The body is a clear, dark brownish amber and the head consists of a film of bubbles that soon evaporates. It’s got a mild roasted malt aroma with burnt caramel and bitter nuts. Very thin and watery, which makes me surprized by the 8% ABV. The roasted malt continues into the flavor along with a light fruitiness and, finally, a touch of alcohol that’s acompanied by some earthy nuts. I almost like this and would probably drink it again.
