Cloudy dark amber color. Nice aroma, with some malt, roasted malt, caramel, toffee. Good body structure, with a good mix of malt and caramel. Enough bitterness, but it would really need a more aromatic hopping. Anyway, the most interesting here.

(Bottle) Pours a dark burgundy body with a spare off-white head. Aroma of dark fruits, dark malts, caramel, and licorice. Flavor of sweet and dark malt, licorice, and hint of dried dark fruits in the finish.

Bottle courtesy of bu11zeye: Pours a transparent dark copper with a thin ring of spotty-lacing off-white head. Aroma of lightly toasted British malt and some mild earthy piny hops. Body starts fairly full and malty sweet with some mild butterscotch and toffee complexity. Nicely balanced and very drinkable.

Bottle courtesy of ericandersnavy. Pours brown with a tan head. Smells herbal, vegetal and sweet. Tastes of pepper, earthy, tea, spicy, light. Enjoyable.

The body is a clear, dark brownish amber and the head consists of a film of bubbles that soon evaporates. It’s got a mild roasted malt aroma with burnt caramel and bitter nuts. Very thin and watery, which makes me surprized by the 8% ABV. The roasted malt continues into the flavor along with a light fruitiness and, finally, a touch of alcohol that’s acompanied by some earthy nuts. I almost like this and would probably drink it again.

Bottle. Creamy white good mostly lasting head. Amber colour. Moderate malty and hoppy aroma. Light sweet and moderate flavor. Average moderate bitter finish. Creamy palate. Nice.

Bottle from ericandersnavy. The white tape guy! Thanks a bunch. Pours damn near opaque brown with a foamy 4-finger beige head. Whoa - aroma of dark malt and cinnamon sticks (we just got a bunch of those). Medium plus body with frothy carbonation. Flavor is dark malt, astringent cinnamon bark thing, coffee, maybe chocolate. Yeh, I think chocolate. The head is clinging all over the tulip glass. I’ll also buy nutty. But muted nutty. Finishes dry, but some malt sweet insists on hanging around. Then everything goes creamy. Creamed coffee aspects. Enjoying the heck out of this. Merry Xmas guys. I’m with Fratto on this one.
