| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 18, 2009 Updated: Jul 19, 2009On tap at the KW ribfest. I don’t know why its rated so low since it was the best thing they had. Taps a light amber with a white head. Aroma is faint. Floral hops (very minor), and Brit malts. Flavour is very Ontario malt driven if you know what I mean, slightly Earthy and bready, tasty but not very satisfying. Drinks really well as a light watery session ale but really isn’t remarkable in any way. Good. pootzboy (1048), Hawgville, Ontario, Canada

Pours a reddish-copper, clear with a good white rocky cap.
Aroma: toasty, toffee, fruit esters - plums,
Light mouth to this and a wee bit thin. Toffee-caarmel, some toast, nuts and some ripe fruit in the front short finish goes a bit sweet.
More sweetness than the amber ale and slightly lighter in the finish. Light, fresh and sessionable VeloVampire (490), Parkdale, Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Oct 5, 2008 Sample at C’est What - poured a clear amber. Aroma odd, and slightly off-putting. Slightly sour, a bit of plastic. I just couldn’t get into the flavour - nothing really upfront, thin bodied, too sweet, and again, an unpleasant plasticine quality at the end. Not my bag. Smells like cola and sugar, hazy reddish/brown, small tan head. Taste is rootbeer-like, sour, cloying. Uninspired. Radek Kliber (3957), Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), Ontario, Canada

Flavor/Palate : Sweet brown sugars , highly mineral , rustic. Caramel with slight hoping. A bit nutty mid finish ( a la light Alt). Average.

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 29, 2008 Growler sample at 2008 Golden Tap Awards. Aside from being more copper-red in colour, this beer is pretty close to their Amber in character - similar caramel, fruit and grain notes; similar mild hops; similar simple, balanced, pleasant flavour. Makes me wonder why they’re making both of them, to be honest. HogTownHarry (4020), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 28, 2008 Draught. At BeerBistro - 2008 Golden Tap Awards. Bright light copper pour, average off-white head. Sot of odd herbal/butterscotch caramel aroma, very sweet. The taste followed - very sweet, somewhat light, with a slight grassiness in the quick finish. Sticky, light body, slick and somewhat still, no real aftertaste - again with this series, just okay, this one didn’t say "homebrew" to me at least (see the Amber) but a tad lower than the blonde.
