Wonderfully fresh, but one would expect that, given the brewery is right out the back of the pub!
A delightfully subtle hops flavor and aroma and without excessive bitterness. Condition perfect. Good lacing in the glass. Slightly fruity; hops balanced by biscuity malt. Star bright. Dry, ’moreish’ finish.
All in all, a session ale I would drink pint after pint - and have done! DJMonarch (4091), Northwich, Cheshire, England Mar 29, 2006 Cask Stillage at the Victoria Leisure Centre, Nottingham 16/10/2003
Amber golden coloured and slightly dry on the palate with some wheat flavour. Some bitterness in a crisp malt finish. imdownthepub (3995), Banbury, Oxfordshire, Oxfordshire, England Mar 26, 2006 Cask Conditioned at Coventry Beer Festival. Golden Amber beer, slight haze, slight head. Not particularly ready to sell, but a decent enough Boys Bitter. Mostly malty, again biscuity if a little fruity, not a great deal of hop impact, but generally enjoyable and would make a good easy session bitter.
