Good Christmasy flavor with decent complexity and a smooth finish. I like RVB beers, and this one is no exception. Eyedrinkale (3209), Astoria, New York, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jun 30, 2005 Dark brown with just a tan ring for a head. Aroma is good though with all sorts of spices. Taste is another story sadly. Zippy and dull with flavors of pumpkin and molasses. Thanks go out to Lou18 for the brew. 1FastSTi (2580), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jan 9, 2006 Trade via MullMan. (freebie). The beer pours to a dark amber body with a thin whitish head. The color looks real nice, but there isn’t much else there. The aroma smells like a pumpkin beer. Weird. I was expecting a spiced ale (for XMas). The beer’s flavor is malty with a fully rich and creamy mouthfeel but has this weirdness to it on the finish. Has some melanoids in it. Caramel and toasted malts. Lightly spicy. Gingerbread. I don’t mind the flavor. It’s just that it smells like one thing, is listed as another, and tastes like yet another. Pretty basic if you ask me. YogiBeera (2437), Hamburg, Germany

Aroma is spiced nutmeg & cinamon hints of pumkiny smell and a bit warm alcohol. Palate is nicely carbonated fairly well coated. Flavor has a light smoked flavor to it nice carmel malt hints of pumkin pie filling, nutmeg and cinamon. Pretty decent stuff. Dorwart (1828), Robbinsville, New Jersey, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 17, 2005 Good sized head of pretty dense bubbles. Light carbonation. Settles very nicely. Light malty aroma with spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger) Color is sort of a port wine color. Very impressive actually. Malty and slightly sweet with just enough spices to make it interesting. Mellow yet flavorful. Litltle bit of dark fruit comes out as it warms. Medium bodied. Some molasses and a hint of coffee. Finish is smooth and a little dry. Nice alcohol warming. I like this stuff. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 9, 2006 Clear brown body, thin tan head. Varied but enjoyable flavor: brown sugar, mint, coriander, pine needles. The flavor has light brown sugar malt under orange peel, coriander, and nutmeg-like spice. The orange lends a refreshing fruitiness to the beer. Quite nice, the mouthfeel is a bit thin though. JCapriotti (1378), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA
