DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 8, 2004 Pale yellow, with medium head. Aroma of malt, slight citrus, hops, and corn flakes. Tastes malty, with a crisp, smooth finish. Eyedrinkale (3209), Astoria, New York, USA Jul 6, 2004 Tap @ Brewery. Clear gold color with thin off white head. Taste is sweet almost corn like. Malty without any real hop balance. Volgon (2487), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA Jul 1, 2004 Brewtopia 2004: Cloudy yellow, hardly any aroma, fizzy light body, clean crisp taste. Oakes (8057), gone rambling, Vietnam Jun 24, 2004 Slightly bronzed gold. Slightly fruity aroma with lots of bread notes. Lean body. Loads of crispy, toasty flavours. Well-made example of a German pils. mkobes (2103), paramus, New Jersey, USA Jun 21, 2004 On tap at Brewtopia. Yellowish color and cloudy. Not bad. Crisp and smooth. There were some off notes, but it wasn’t bad. Malty. Hoppy. Pleasant. MaiBockAddict (1499), Good Beer Bar Deprived, New Jersey, USA Jun 21, 2004 Tap at Brewtopia. Nice clear golden white head. Aroma of hops and malt, maybe a touch of DMS in there as well. Flavor is nice and malty with a good dose of hops. A touch of butterscotch in the finish, but not too bad. Nice lingering hops. Decent effort on a difficult to make beer. willblake (2160), Belcamp, Maryland, USA Jun 21, 2004 Brewtopia’04. Smells a bit like an old shoe. Sweet, canvas, grass, band-aid, toffee. Some sweet cardboard on tongue, then front yard hits the flavor with weeds, grass, dirt, and fertilizer. I didn’t get the hops I was hoping for even after a second-chance sample later in the day. Still, okay and drinkable. I had the second glass with my pork sandwich. argo0 (6842), Washington DC, USA Jun 20, 2004 (Brewtopia04) Clear golden body with off-white head. Aroma is medium sweet, some floral, butterscotch. Taste is medium sweet, with a fairly sharp grassiness that hits mid-tongue and carries through to the swallow. Crisp, light-medium body.
