In my opinion this was definitely a bad bottle and I will be re-rating this within 48 hours. I love Ramstein and have high hopes for another tasting of their Blonde

Must have been a bad bottle, I assume, because it tasted like animal fat. Blargh. I’ll do the right thing as Spike Lee--ahem, Jine--says, and sample another bottle at some point to see for a change.

Brewtopia’04. Big head, cloudy, pale, hazy. Sweet smelling and bready. Flavors are brine (or peat?) and some savory, grassy herbal notes that remind of spiced candies. Some green appleskin bite to it. Soft and smooth.

Draught at Brewtopia ’04 This starts off with the proper appearance of a huge frothy head and a nice cloudy yellow body. Strange aroma is somewhat bacon-like?? No banana at all here. It gets back on track with a spicy clove flavor. I didn’t care for this one. re-rate 7/18/05 The flavor and aroma was improved this time around but this time it had no head. Better flavor gets it a higher new score in any case.

Very cloudy, very pale yellow appearance. Marshmallowy sweet, with a light spiciness (cinnamon). Slightly dry and earthy. Well-made.

Excellent hefeweizen, cloudy & hazy golden color, huge fluffy white head, huge clove & fruity nose, lots of good banana & clove flavors, very smooth & drinkable, refreshing

Big yeasty lemon citrus aroma. Taste is a beautiful wheat, sweet bubblegum and light. Finishes brilliantly with malt without the big effervescent feel I usually get with hefes.

Banana aroma with a touch of vanilla. Hazy blond body. Nice bright white head. Clean fresh banana flavour. Light refreshing body. Simple but easy drinking. On tap at the TapNY festival.
