Poured this orange/pumpkin yellow color with some sediment. Taste was tart with some sense of apricot or peaches in the mix, with this tang of tartness at the end. jeffc666 (1895), Fairfax, Virginia, USA

Huge ripe banana aroma with hints of wheat, pear, and spice. The flavor is banana and some apple with a touch of bitter anise in the aftertaste. Beaver (600), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA

Its aroma is some bananas, yeast, and spicy cloves.
The taste is sweet malt and some subtle banana and other fruitiness initially. It has a slightly spicy clove finish, with an almost sweet aftertaste.
The beer is medium bodied, but I was surprised at the total lack of carbonation.
Overall, it is a nice, easy drinking wheat beer. The low carbonation hurts it some. I don't like the banana / beer combo, but it was pretty subtle in this beer. Thanks to Probiere for the trade! argo0 (6998), Washington DC, USA

Not the best I've had but a good choice nonetheless. ruffian (149), montvale, New Jersey, USA

The cloves really come out of this one. I can't find any of the apple character that the label advertises, the cloves just dominate. Medium body, some mouthfeel, but it is not thick. A little bitterness initially fades to a sweetness with some fruity tones added in. I'm glad I'm local to this brewery. muzzlehatch (4427), Burlington, Vermont, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 27, 2004 12 oz bottle. Bright golden, minimal head (esp. for a wheat). Nose light banana-milk. Simple, smooth on the tongue, banana sweet, light yeast, no bitterness. Good body overall, light but not too thin. MartinT (5075), Montreal, Quebec, Canada
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 27, 2004 Sunshine peering through a primo banana plantation and clove sprinklers...Headless, laceless weizen which is quite simple but very tasty with a dry yeasty spell in the end...A bit more carbonation and wheat would maybe give it more head and a creamier body...
