Nov. 2006 - Thanks be to eaglefan538 for the bottle. Pour was yellow, slightly cloudy with thin head. Strong clove aroma. Flavor was strong bananas and clove with some wheatiness showing through...also an odd perfumy flavor which was sweet and mildly unpleasant. All in all, this is a pretty tasty brew...rich and full. I’m not sure I’d take it over the Germans, but among American hefe’s, right up there.

The color was hazy, golden/orange. The head was thin, fizzy, and white. The aroma was wheat, banana, clove, and grass. The flavor was tart, wheat, and lemongrass. The palate was smooth. The finish was wheat.

Thanks hophead75. Pours a hazy golden amber with a thick crackling white head. The aroma is sweet citrus, lemongrass, wheaty, banana clove. The flavor is very citrusy, lemongrass is an excellent descriptor, very wheaty, very very nice wheat. The palate is smooth and full not very carbonated. I was very surprised by this wheat.

[839-20071117] 300mL (w/ jerc). Sweet wheatie banana aroma. Hazy, yellow orange body wih a medium-lasting foamy white head. Flavour holds lots of banana fizzle. Bubbly medium body. Interesting balance.

Bottle. Golden yellow body with a small white head. Mild banana aroma, light notes of wheat and very muted lemon. (6+) Sweetish flavour, light banana and wheat, light bitterness, small hint of alcohol in the finish. Average palate. Decent but not particularly exciting. 6+/3/6/3/12-13

I thought this beer was very bland. not much happening even though it looked like it was gonna be nice. Thankfully some of the other offerings were decent.

Another underrated Ramstein beer which couples a strong wheat and yeasty flavor with an orange-apple tone. I love the malt content Ramstein supplies (think of their Maibock) along with some banana and clove spices characteristic of a solid wheat.
