| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Oct 12, 2003 Dark in color. Rich, malty aroma that dominates over the wheat yeast phenolics. Very malty and dunkle-like. This absolutely blows away the imports. Well made beer! Jayb0 (752), Cherry Hill, New Jersey, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 16, 2003 Cloudy, brown, a small but dense light tan head is coaxed with an aggressive pour. Malty aroma with hints of tropical fruit, gum, and a bit of fresh grass. A nicely balanced beer without overwhelming wheat character. Malty, hints of chocolate, creamy despite medium-high carbonation. Nice mildly long finish. Very nice and quite quaffable. Uglyradio (776), Greenville, South Carolina, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 20, 2003 This wheat beer pours a deep, cloudy brown color with a thin, diminishing, off-white head. It has a very sweet aroma of malts, bubble gum, bananas, cloves, and sugar. It has a medium body with full carbonation and a smooth, almost creamy mouthfeel. The flavor is very malty with some fruity notes and lots of clove and caramel. The finish is sweet at first but quickly diminishes into a clean finish rather than any lingering flavor. Very good and very drinkable, and it tastes stronger than what it is (5.5%). apoptosis (1316), Long Island, New York, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Apr 27, 2003 Pretty bland and very thin. Not well balanced. Metallic, strongly bitter finish. Plant-like flavors. Dark amber body with nearly no head. It doesn't really look appealing to drink. Smells like raisins and spices, but the flavor does not reflect that. notalush (2683), Denver, Colorado, USA

Pleasing aroma(clove, caramel, tree bark, slightly bitter).Soft mouthfeel, rather thin. Fruity, clove, caramel, chocolate, flavors.Excellent bready/grainy finish with some light, herval, bitterness. Excellent balance, but seems a bit thin.I'm glad there was little to no banana(allergic)flavors.Finish turns yeasty before showing some fine toffee/caramel notes. .Yeast takes over aroma as well.Good wheat! Spongy undertones of licorice, beets, spoiled pear, prune, oozing caramel, cedar, and a lightly raosted malt tinge. Soft palate. Slightly thin. Light carbonation. Notes of ginger, bubblegum, and passion fruit. Beautiful transition from currant and prunes to a rich, crystal malt middle. Leaving behind traces of cloves, chocolate, leaf, light acidity, faint oxidation, and a substantial bready malt finish. Light leafy hop belches. Needs more body and less acidity, but the fresh clove notes in the aroma and chocolatey middle flavors were nice. krdktq (17), Pennsylvania, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 28, 2003 I DROVE TO N.J. TO PICK UP A SIX PACK OF THIS WHEAT BEER. I WAS A LITTLE WORRIED WHEN I GOT THE LAST SIX PACK THEY HAD WITH DUST ON IT. IT POURED A NICE DARK COLOR BUT HAD NO HEAD. I POUED AN OUNCE BACK IN TO THE BOTTLE AND SHOOK IT UP. WHEN I POURED IT BACK INTO THE GLASS IT GAVE ME A THICK CREAMY HEAD THAT LATED TO THE BOTTOM OF THE GLASS. A VERY ENJOYABLE WHEAT BEER.
