This was just a "reject" batch of Boaks beautiful "Two Blind Monks" abbey ale. A bit more chocolatey, which is never a bad thing. A nice surprise to see at the monthly High Point Brewery tours.

On tap at the brewery and from a growler. Hazy amber in color with a medium off white head that dissipates. Aroma has alot of fruity belgian esters- mainly banana as well as some caramel malts and light spicy phenols. Taste is caramel/molasses, with banana esters, bready and lightly phenolic yeast. Easy drinking, medium bodied. Finishes with some lingering yeast and a light hop bitterness.
