The aroma is sweet wheaty, but also with some berry notes. The flavor is sweet and dominated by wheat, but it also contains some berries. The end is quite dry and the mouthfeel very smooth. This by far is the darkest wheat beer I’ve ever sampled, and markedly darker than any German Dunkelweizen. Very roasted, almost coffeeish aroma. Medium-bodied with great, roasted coffee notes and an edge of chocolate. Sweetish and very lovely - but I really cannot pick up any traces of wheat in here. Some caramel and yeast as well as banana. Lightly grassy finish. A good weizenbock. joergen (8617), Frederiksberg, Denmark

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 9, 2003 Very dark brown (cola-esque) colour; pours kind of syrupy w/o much foam. Aroma of banana, plum, dark malt, industrial cheddar; oily, viscous body; on the palate dark fruits overlay smooth, sweet malts (like what an all-malt Peruvian black beer would taste like) with fruits (peach, plum, banana). More dark malt than usual for the style but it isn't roasty at all. fiulijn (7330), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy

Quite classic Weizen Bock aroma, malty and caramel with a peculiar candies aroma. Quite sweet, oily, caramel, far from being complex… argo0 (6948), Washington DC, USA
