Smagen er også domineret af anis men på en unuanceret måde der kunne minde om at det skulle dække over en mindre god baseøl.

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 9, 2009 500ml bottle (Copenhagen) - gift from Dr. Space - thanks!
Bold red, a bit bright, tiny head. Sweet and slightly stodgy porridgy
aroma, no shortage of malts, but all a bit raw. Pleasant carbonation.
Taste follows the aroma very closely, the stodgy malts are all over
the place, and there’s even a pretty noticable alcoholic waft after
swallowing. Some hints of gingery spices, and earthy barky hops don’t
save it. Too muddy, doesn’t do it for me. Adding the yeast brought
out a touch more burntness in the taste, made the finish more hoppy,
and gave the thing a lot more cakeyness. So go with the yeast.

Slight hazy red-brown with a creamy head. Aroma moderate malty (caramel, anise, coriander), light hoppy. Flavor moderate sweet and spicy, light bitter. Light body. Not harmonic. Maria (6336), Thisted, Denmark
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Dec 6, 2009 It’s a hazy, almost unclear red-brown beer with a huge, creamy head. The aroma has notes of anise, rubber and light fruit. The moderately sweet flavor has notes strong of anise and lighter of coriander, rubber, fruit, malt and caramel. I dislike it when anise is this dominating in a beer.
