Commercial Description:

50 cL bottle at Kolding Ølmesse, only served when saying the right keyword :) Pours pitch black with a small chocolate brown head. Roasted dark malty aroma. Sweet note as well. Flavour is sweet and dark roasted. Molasses and overripe fruity. Light yeasty touch. Nice lingering hoppy and liqourice like flavoured finish.

Bottle at chris_o’s "smash kook’s granny tasting". Alround rating: Loads of soy sauce in the nose, but is far more restrained in the mouth, the body isnt as heavy as expected, but is big and roasty and the soy kills it for me.

Draught at EsBF09. Mild creamed coffee aroma. Black colour. Very small brown head. The flavour has a mild coffee note at first, turning nicely creamy with a distinct and rought alcoholic finish. There also seems to be a grassy hop flavour underneath the coffee notes.

It’s pitch black with a creamy head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt and very clear coffee and licorice – very nice. The flavor has a soft sweetness and notes of roasted malt, coffee, licorice, light caramel and the finish is slightly dry with a really nice touch of mocca – a truly nice beer!

Bottle 50 cl. Pours pitch black with a light brown head. Thick almost tar-like burned nose but also raisins and other dried fruit. Very full-bodied, fat hard roasted malts with a light smoky edge - peaty smoke that is. Lots of prunes, raisins and a little licorice. Warming alcoholic finish with a light malt bitterness. A nice and positive surprise from Randers. 221009

Sample from bottle, provided by thewolf, thanks! Molasses and apple syrup in the aroma. Viscous, full bodied. Roast, molasses vanilla and apple syrup in the flavor. Low on carbon. A bit too young, perhaps?
