draft at naked city second anniversary. pours nearly opaque ebony with ruby highlights in the corner. mild chocolateband graham cracker nose. watery lightish body. plenty more chocolate plus toast and roast and those crackers again. a little bit on the run of the mill side, and needs some bubbles.

From the Jug at the GABF Colorado Convention Center, Denver 11/10/2008 Smoked aroma. Small tan head. Dark coloured fruity and smooth on the palate with some dryness and bitterness in a smoked finish.

Muddy colored with a slight chocolate head. Enticing deep roast aroma with a natural smokiness. Nice smoky peppery flavor. Would love to brew something like this for summer grill-outs. Perfectly balanced. Another excellent, underrated beer from this relatively unknown brewpub/

GABF 2005 (I poured this one as a volunteer). This one was okay. Watery compared to many porters. The bit of smokiness was the main redeeming feature of this beer.

This was my favorite of the three I tried at the brewery today. Very dark but not a lot of head. Aromas were a bit lacking, but the flavor was better. A little chocolate, but mostly just smoky malts. Pretty good.

This was an O.K. beer. I felt this was mising the true style of the smokey beer. I am not looking for a true German Smoked beer that will take off your socks but I need a beer that has a stronger bite. The head was small and the flavor was just off.
