Commercial Description:
A bottle conditioned version of Firebox with the addition of spice oils.
Pale malt, chocolate malt; Progress and Target hops; ginger, cloves, cinnamon, corriander, nutmeg, pimento. A dark, rich spicy bottle-conditioned ale, resonant with Christmas seasonal flavours and designed to take the chill off the coolest winter night. Ale Mary has a warm and sweet aroma of cloves, coriander and ginger. The palate provides touches of rum, raisins and sultanas, with a dry fruity finish. This ale has been exclusively brewed for us by Paul Davey of RCH Brewery.

Bottle shared with barrios. Pours a murky dark gold with some particulate and ample offwhite head and some lacing. Aroma is lightly sweet with a weak floral hop. Suprisingly sweet with an appley flavor. Fair hop bitterness on the tail end and a lingering dry bitter finish that I didnt care for too much. Actually enjoyable, but WAY overpriced at $7 a bottle.

Bottle. Off white head with a honey colored body. Smells mildly of hops and biscuit. Bitter hop flavor with oranges and spice. Nice bitter spicy finish.

50 cl bottle at Cardinal, Stavanger. Hazy amber color, fine off-white head. Aroma is fruity, citric, spicy and has some yeast. Flavor is dried fruit, spices, malt, yeast and a hint of alcohol.

Bottle: Pours a copper color with pillowy off white head. Very herbal aroma- almost woody with spicy tea-leaf suggestions. The body is creamy with a cask like feel. Lots of spicy herbal character in the fore flavor. Something about the flavor-when it warms- reminds me slightly of oaky Kentucky Bourbon without the sweetness. There is some bitter fruit skin in there as well with lots of woody notes and spicy herbal qualities. Very unique beer. One of the ones you hate at first, and cannot really figure out, but like more with each sip.

Golden amber color with an off white head. Spritzy nose with light spice and orange peel. Bready malts with some ginger, corriander, raisens and orange peel. Enjoyable for a lightly spiced ale. Thanks to cgarvieuk for the bottle.

Bottle pours medium golden color with no head. Spices abound in the aroma. Mostly ginger and corriander (?). Slightly sweet body with some fruit in there. Nice middle of the road golden ale.
