Commercial Description:
A bottle conditioned version of Firebox with the addition of spice oils.
Pale malt, chocolate malt; Progress and Target hops; ginger, cloves, cinnamon, corriander, nutmeg, pimento. A dark, rich spicy bottle-conditioned ale, resonant with Christmas seasonal flavours and designed to take the chill off the coolest winter night. Ale Mary has a warm and sweet aroma of cloves, coriander and ginger. The palate provides touches of rum, raisins and sultanas, with a dry fruity finish. This ale has been exclusively brewed for us by Paul Davey of RCH Brewery.

16.9 oz bottle-A hazy cloudy amber orangish body with lots of floaties stuck in time on a fairly loose off white head. Aroma of hops, citrus, wood, malt, coriander, and some ginger. Taste is the same with some sweetness and dryness on the finish. A little weak but not bad tasting.

Hazy orange, Aroma is predominantly herbal ginger wine as advertised on the label. There is also sweet lemon and belgian yeasty coriander, The head poured into a UK pint tremendously with tiny beige bubbles, so much so it looks like it would be more at home in a tulip glass. There is a sweet cookie flavour amongst the spice with dryness afterwards but not as complex as i thought. A good christmasy type ale though.

Deep orange colour with a big, frothy white head that left plenty of lacing down the glass. Spicy aroma of coriander and ginger, with some honey and earthy hops. Flavour was very spicy with a bitter, warming alcohol finish. Good.

Bottle passed onto me by Glen, cheers mate! Poured Orange amber with white head, some sweetness and also sharpness are immediately apparent. Good bitterness, rich full flavour, good spiciness, aroma like clove spiked orange’s with some chinese five spice there as well. Preferred this to the Firebox!

Bottle 500ml. Pours amber/orange colored hazy body with small head. Very spicy nose with ginger and oranges dominating. Taste much like the aroma.

Bottled. There’s a very spicy aroma from this copper-coloured beer, almost like mulled cider. The flavour is mainly sweet malt with the added spice. Not really my sort of thing, but not bad.
