Jun 20, 2008 Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol 20/6/08. Deep gold in colour with a slight white head. Aroma of caramel, elderflowers and citrus hops. Flavour began with a touch of sweet malt followed by spicy hops with a hint of pine. The finish was long and satisfyingly dry. Very good.

Jun 18, 2008 (Real ale) Pours a little hazy, copperish colour. Very multi-dimensional taste. Has hops with notes of fruits and spices. A bit grassy end. Quite bitter. An excellent brew.

Sherry, oak, bourbony vanilla aroma. Almost clear deep gold with lasting bubbles on top. Boubon and vanilla are strong in the flavour together with a medicinal chocolate. Assertive bitterness that almost puts this beer off balance. Very low diacetyl. Light to medium body with a tiny bit of lasting bitterness. Slightly more carbonation than some other cask beers.

Apr 1, 2008 Half, cask conditioned at great Turf Tavern in Oxford. Clear amber body under a filmy white layer. Smell of dried fruit. Apricot jam and marmalade taste with a bitter fruity finish. Good mouth feel and well bodied (17.03.2008)
