Red/brown colour, with soapy lacing and no head. Lovely malty brew - soft, cakey, with a burst of bitterness to finish. A jostling mouthfeel, with some warmth, hints of raspberry and an Autumnal flavour. Rather good. RE-RATE draught at the Figure of Eight, Birmingham - delicious, juicy Bitter. In fact the best kind of Bitter - such a good hop/malt blend, including jiciness, freshness, tartness and fullness. Superb. Bov (5488), Bienne, Switzerland

Beautiful deep amber colour, large off-white head, leaves a nice lacing. Sweetish aroma with plenty of malts, notes of caramel, bakery and raisins. The flavour is very rich and malty, but also fruity with well balanced hops. Not too sweet. Hoppy aftertaste. A first class premium bitter in my book. Mungo (2474), Southampton, Hampshire, England
