Cask conditioned @ South Western Arms, Soton. Light copper. Dryish malt toffee and light fruity hop. Fairly drinkable but quite boring.

1/2 pint cask, Bow Bar, Edinburgh. Light brown and crystal clear. Medium-sized off-white and perhaps a little brown head. Head is creamy, but with a few biggish bubbles. Gentle crisp malty aroma with a dose of minty hops. Soft mouthfeel. Rich bready flavours that are nicely balanced by grassy and clean minty hop bitterness. Peaty nose.

Cask conditioned at Far from the Madding Crowd, Oxford 15-07-06 Standard mid brown colour beer that sadly didn’t have an awful lot to rave about. Not as hoppy as I was hoping and lacking any oomph... in fact lacking a little in all departments but overall It pulled through a bit better and would make a reasonable if unexciting session bitter. A5 A4 F5 P3 Ov12 2.9 Had this again at The Hop Pole, Aylesbury, Bucks, 17-08-09 Pours amber with a thin white head. The aroma is a touch malty and with some lingering caramel. tangy and fruity beer with a reasonable bitterness and bite considering the low abv. Its fine and a good little session ale and better than when I had last time so an upward moving re-rate. A6 A4 F6 P3 Ov13 3.2

[Cask at Volunteers Arms, GBBF 2004] A nut-brown beer with a small light brown head. The aroma is sweet nutty. The flavor is very roasted giving it a dryness combined with sourness due to lack of residual sugar. The body is thin.
