Apr 24, 2005 [Cask at Volunteers Arms, GBBF 2004] A nut-brown beer with a small light brown head. The aroma is sweet nutty. The flavor is very roasted giving it a dryness combined with sourness due to lack of residual sugar. The body is thin.

A confusing beer. The name indicates an IPA, but the description of the beer clearly says it is a bitter, and it could easily pass for a mild. Copper colour. Vague caramel aroma. Light bodied, lightly flowery. Bold, yet empty mouthfeel. Low bitterness in a finish with some caramel.

Sep 6, 2007 Cask (handpump) @ GBBF 2007, London. Light unclear light amber color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, toasted, light to moderate hoppy, light citrus, light light toffe and butter. Flavor is light to moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is flat.

May 31, 2009 Cask@Beer Hunters, Pori. Coppery brown colouw with small white head. Aroma is malts, some wood, mild chocolaty and nutty notes as well. Flavour is malty, nutty, slightly flowery hoppy, yeasty and a bit roasted notes as well. Smooth palate.

Aug 24, 2005 (cask at Market Porter, London) Crystal clear amber body with an off-white head that leaves nice lacing. Aroma is medium sweet, apricot, some apple. Taste is medium sweet, apricot, apple, light earthy, spice. Watery light body with a hint of resin.

Dark amber color with good off-white head. Strong honeyish hoppy aroma. Malty but quite pale malty and hoppy, but not aggressive for IPA. Licorice notes. Light as you can expect from 3.6 % beer but ok for sessions.

Aug 2, 2007 Cask gravity at Kent BF. Pale chestnut, really nice colour with thin white head. It’s fine. It does what it says, a drinkable session bitter. Decent hop.
