Commercial Description:
Cask; Regular. Also available bottle conditioned.
In the old brewery we had a problem with slugs getting into the brewery. As the beer leaves a trail down the glass as you drink it like a slug, that's how the beer was named. A delicious traditional porter with a full bodied taste of chocolate, coffee, blackcurrant and black cherry with a good aroma. A near black colour with a good white head when served through a tight sparkler.
Pale malt, crystal malt, black malt; Fuggles and Goldings hops.

Bottle: Deep amber coloured with ruby sparks, presumably hazy, extremely firm and persistent tanned head, lively carbonation; roasted malt, honey and dried fruits in the nose; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, soft MF, light to medium bodied; some hidden sweetness and hoppiness in the mainly dry roasty and bitter-chocolatey finish. What a delicious stuff.........

Aroma of roasted malts, light smoke and light fruity notes. Taste is bitter coffee, chocolate, molasses, dark roasted malts and faint fruity notes. A faint hint of plastic. Bottle. Very little head, dark pour. Chocolate aroma but not much else. Medium-thin mouth feel with average carbonation. Coffee flavor with a touch of chocolate. Not super flavorful, but pleasant. Over, a nice, though not inspiring beer. Good session porter.

Murky dark brown, almost black with almost no head, just some bubble around the rim of the glass. Aroma of chocolate, molasses and roasted malt. Flavor is some chocolate, sweet roasted malt, and a little dark fruit but kind of weak overall. Mouth feel is pretty thin and watery with no carbonation to speak of.
