May 13, 2007 Cask conditioned at the Inn on the Green, Bristol. Near black with slight, tan head. Aroma was of bitter chocolate with a hint of roasted coffee. Flavours were of black fruit and more chocolate, with a decent bitter finish. Very enjoyable.

Almost black colour, bubbly head. Cocoa, dried fruits in aroma, and light - little Guinness feel to it. Medium bodied with light toast and fruity. Like the Guinness. Good pronounced cocoa and dry finish.

Apr 26, 2007 dark brown almost black body with a light red tint to the edges. nice lasting off white head. good lacing. soft milk chocolate aroma with a hint of coffee. sweet milk chocolate flavor with a surprising amount of bitter piney hoppy notes light bitter coffee notes and a hint of tart currant. bitter medium dry tart currant piney hop finish with a hit of coffee. medium body. moderate carbonation. nice solid porter.

Apr 17, 2007 500 Ml Bottle-Pours a very dark mahogany red w/a moderate tan bubbly head. Had a little bit of a hopped/carbinated aroma. Decent flavored porter, some traces of chocolate & burnt malt, with a little bit of a carbinated/coffee flavor to it. Kind of thin, but had a long rich finish. Solid, not spectacular.
