Pours a dark brown with coffee and hint of dark chocolate in the aroma, has a roasted flavour and is quite dry but a little bit of sweetness. I have had this beer frequently, why I don’t know as I have never been particularly impressed Gmoney (255), ManchVegas, New Hampshire, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 24, 2006 Bottle: Pours like a stout, black with a huge foamy beige head, decent lacing.   Soft cocoa and roasted malts on the nose.   Even softer roasted malt tongue, cocoa not so noticeable, but picks up light apple skin.   Moderate body, slightly creamy mouthfeel.   Light example, but clean, fairly smooth.   Pleasant.

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 21, 2006 From a 1pt.9oz. brown bottle with a short blurb about the porter and pouring instructions on the left rear side of label, no bottled/freshness date. Made a satisfactory appearance, poured a opaque ruby hued dark brown with a creamy, bubbly topped beige head that settled into a thin skim-like lacing, moderate carbonation. Had a roasted sweet fruity nose, somewhat like to sweeten grape juice, and a light coffeeness in the background. A slick, smooth, milky more than creamy light bodied mouth feel, above average drinkability. Lightly roasted grape juice fruity taste, a mellow coffee malt and very mild dry hoppiness in the middle and a sweet, roasted fruit malty, a bit watery, finish.
A decent English Porter, drinkable, but not something I would like to drink all night long.

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 9, 2006 Chocolade malts everywhere. Easily drinkable stuff although a bit watery. Not very complex but won’t harm anybody.
Possibly a good beginner-porter. Tobias10 (99), London, Bedfordshire, England
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 3, 2006 Massivly over-carbonated, when i tryed to poor, it filled the glass with foam. Once it settled down, it was very balck, with a billowing white head. Nice full jucy mouthfee with coffee and liquorish flavours, nice and full bodied without being cloying. Pity i only had the one bottle BeerandBlues2 (3216), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Apr 1, 2006 Bottle. Pours dark brown, almost black, similar to molasses, with a small frothy tan head that diminishes to a patchy film. Aroma is rich and fragrant dark chocolate, roasted coffee and a perfume floral hop with dark fruits (prune, raisin, plum) and trace port notes. Dark bitter and tart chocolate, fruity and hoppy acidity, finishes clean and malty. Dark bodied and fizzy.
