Commercial Description:
Cask; Regular. Also available bottle conditioned.
In the old brewery we had a problem with slugs getting into the brewery. As the beer leaves a trail down the glass as you drink it like a slug, that's how the beer was named. A delicious traditional porter with a full bodied taste of chocolate, coffee, blackcurrant and black cherry with a good aroma. A near black colour with a good white head when served through a tight sparkler.
Pale malt, crystal malt, black malt; Fuggles and Goldings hops.

Cask @ Bishop’s Arms Malmö. Black/ dark brown colour. Small tan head. Roasted malt and chocolate in the aroma. Taste is roasted malt, coffee and chocolate. It has more stout taste to me than porter taste. But i like it.

Damn...for reason porters make my throat close up a bit. weird anyways, porter black. nice creamy black coffee/chocolate tones. Nicely balanced but obviously not too complex. Yummy indeed. I couldnt really catch any of the black cherry or black currant it goes on about above. Head is definately not white...Poor Dickens might not have much to write about on this one, but im sure he woulda enjoyed it. ...

Sampled from bottle. Pours blackened-ruby with a creamy tan head and sheets of lacing. Aroma is mild with only some earth and coffee notes. Flavor is balanced and dominated by roasted malts. Medium-bodied and lightly carbonated. Very easy to drink but lacks the chocolate flavor I expect in a porter. The label could have easily read ’stout’.

Very dark color with a nice porter taste. Lacks the special something that makes a good porter a great porter....hence it’s only a good porter.
