Tasted 03/06/2008. 500ml bottle from Regional Wines and Spirits. Pours an amazingly lacy, creamy headed treat. Hazy, pale gold, gentle motherly carbonation. On the nose is is pungently malty sweet, floral minerally yeast, with mild stonefruit notes. Strongly bitter and firmly hoppy. Perhaps a little harsh, with the minerally, sulphurous yeast astringency that covers the breadth of the palate. sweet, slightly under-attenuated malt sits in behind. Very soft, very silky mouthfeel (if you can look past the astringency). I reckon there’s problably an good beer lurking under a slightly problematic bottling that has travelled a little too far... Weston-super-Mare, you have to love that - one extra point for a great town name. I bet it’s a shit hole.

Clear golden with tiny white head. Sweet fruity aroma with caramel and hops. Flavor is sweet with notes of hops, caramel, citrus and pine needles. Ends bitter.

Århus2008. 50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden yellow with a lacing white head. Light hoppy and citrusy aroma. Flavour is mild fruity hops with a light bitterness following. Mild fruity finish, medium sweet. Classic and uncomplicated bitter with a nice citrus-fruity touch.

Bottle @ Aarhus, 2008.
Pours muddy pale amber with a fine creamy off-white head. Aroma is light caramel, good grassy hops. Fine mouthfeel, a bit light. Flavour is a little underwhelming compared to the aroma. Light nuttiness, okay hoppy pine finish. Pretty dry.

Decent, but not overbearing, kind of a textbook example of the style. Got some ripe green apple skins in the nose, some grassy hoppiness. As you can imagine a mouthfeel that is slightly bitter, bready maltiness, but the finish just drops right off into nothing.

Cask at Helsinki Beer Festival 2008. Deep golden color with small head. Honey and green apple in the aroma.Toasty, nutty, biscuity and appley flavor. Bitter, biscuity and appley finish. I like this beer in the bottle, but now it was in bad condition.

Bottle. Hazy golden with a rocky white head. Potent piney hops aroma. Extremely bitter flavours with a punch of pine flavours. A bitter that proves its point.
