From cask at Three Judges. Pours clear and golden orange with small white head. Aroma is fruity an gives the impression of a sweet brew. Flavour is fruity, overripe. Sweet caramel. Fruity and mild acidic touch into the finish.

Cask at Akkurat, Stockholm. Dark amber. Some grass and raisin. Bold mouthfeel. There’s some berries before a harsh, bitter finish takes over. Never been the greatest fan of RCH, and I found this beer to be about as balanced as a hippo in a glassware store.

Cask handpull at Coastguard, St Margaret’s. Amber colour with lasting beige head. Some caramel on the aroma. NIce bitter. Good malt and very nice hop on end. Hop is peppery. Good beer.

Cask conditioned at The Turf Tavern, Oxford. Amber with slight white head. Quite thinnish for the abv, there are initial sweetish, perfumed notes which then develops into a dry bitterness, with a light acidity. Light finish, reasonable.

Autumn seasonal. Mid brown colour. A fruity beer, but not malty - more zesty, with sweet hints. Long finish. Some bitterness. Handpump, Market Porter, London SE1, October 2003

Cask conditioned handpump Turf Tavern Oxford. Unfortunately the yeast was totally sludged into the glass making this a complete orange mud soup. What it did mean though was I could drink sufficiently enough and return it for a replacement. And it did actually taste pretty good . It was nice and hoppy with citrus notes throughout. A little sweetness too. One to drink with the eyes closed.

Oxford Beer Fest, Gravity Fresh. Darkly tangy. Apple notes in the finish. Crisp and fresh up front, like biting into an apple - red and juicy. Very pleasing.

Cask (Pullman, Helsinki)
Teabag and musty wet paper aroma. Sweet starchy body, some popcorn (not sweet or salty, just the kernels). Some retronasal glue on swirling it around the tongue. Stealth hops - bitter and build up slowly. Leaves a pleasant sweet malt and bitter finish. Well balanced, but simple.
