Teabag and musty wet paper aroma. Sweet starchy body, some popcorn (not sweet or salty, just the kernels). Some retronasal glue on swirling it around the tongue. Stealth hops - bitter and build up slowly. Leaves a pleasant sweet malt and bitter finish. Well balanced, but simple. downender (1785), Bristol, Gloucestershire, England Nov 24, 2007 Cask conditioned at the Old Tavern Bristol 24/11/07. Deep amber with a moderate off-white head. Sweet malt and grassy hop aroma. The flavour had plenty of malt with a decent spicy hop finish. Good.
