cgarvieuk (4159), Edinburgh, Scotland Sep 5, 2008 Amber ... light hop nose ... very dry and loads of hops ... bitter grapefruit ... huge drying bitterness. imdownthepub (5084), Banbury, Oxfordshire, England Aug 26, 2008 Cask conditioned, gravity dispensed, at The George, Barford St. Michael, Oxon. Straw colour with white head. Squeezed the last one out of the firkin, so I’ll be gentle on this one. Lemony but thin beer, seemingly another lager cross over. Some apple, cidery notes with a light biscuity malt. Magicdave6 (5383), London, Greater London, England Nov 23, 2007 Cask 3 judges, old rating. Aroma is grassy and floural with hints of biscuity malts. Taste has far more caramel notes than biscuit, bitter finish. downender (2528), Bristol, Gloucestershire, England Aug 9, 2007 Updated: Aug 10, 2007Cask-conditioned at the Bag O’Nails, Bristol 9/8/07. Chris O’s comments are spot on. A reasonable if undistinguished bitter with a decent balance of hops and malt but nothing to stand out. Ok. ante (2904), Stockholm, Sweden Oct 4, 2006 Cask at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Pale golden with low bubblly head. Sharp aroma of acetone, heavy perfume and green apples. Harsh flavour of grass, rubber and paint with a short finish of green apples. Ugh... chriso (4665), London, Greater London, England Sep 20, 2004 A respectable enough best bitter, with a reasonable balance of malt and hops, but there’s not really anything that interesting going on here. Perfectly acceptable though. Cask (handpump), Lord Moon of the Mall (JDW), Whitehall.
omhper (12147), Stockholm, Sweden Sep 23, 2003 Sampled cask conditioned at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Deep golden. Fruity, soapy, appley arom. Bold and clean, sweet and rounded. Sticky, stale, intensely ashy finish. Completely without finesse and charm.
