Cask (Kitty’s, Helsinki)
Rich amber, loose head. Gingery hoppy aroma, peppery too. Soft carbonation, refreshing palate. Sweet and spicy taste, some fruitiness - retronasal esters of apples and others. Apple pie, but with a very bitter finish, and more ginger. There’s a bit of undergrowth too. Quite drying. Excellent bitter bitter. Unusually Anna didn’t share this.

Cask conditioned at The Royal Blenheim, Oxford. Copper colour with white head. A really fruity beer, with fragrant perfumed hops, I got hints of passion fruit in the flavour. Darker, slightly roasty notes in the body, I enjoyed it.

(Cask at Oliver Twist, Stockholm) Copper colour with creamy, beige head. Fruity, grainy nose with apricots, mandarin, roses and floral hops. Fruity, slightly malty taste with hints of grain, apricots, mandarin and fresh notes of floral hops in the finish. Light body, fairly dry. Nice session bitter.

Cask conditioned - handpump - Vat & Fiddle, Nottingham. A golden coloured beer with a whitish head and lacing. The aroma is grassy hoppiness. The taste is very bitter and there is a nettle like taste. A little too harsh and a bit of a struggle.

Very perfumed one, a little golden, very bitter, and bubbling head, I didn’t like it, but the aroma was of nice sweet kind.
