omhper (12153), Stockholm, Sweden Jun 21, 2007 Cask at Akkurat, Stockholm. Clear deep golden. Sweet and sugary with notes of vegetables. Rounded rather soapy mouthfeel. Very fruity and a bit mellow with low bitterness. Rather dull and not very quenching. ante (2904), Stockholm, Sweden Jun 21, 2007 Cask at Akkurat, Stockholm. Clear dark golden with a low white foam. Straw, raw yeast, mandarin, honey and mild flowers in the aroma. Flavour starts hoppy and rather ctiric just to be mellow and sweet in the middle. Notes of toffee. Long malty finish of toffee, nuts with touches of minerals and earth. Svesse (2597), Hässelby, Sweden Jun 17, 2007 (Cask at Oliver Twist, Stockholm, 15 June 2007) Pale orange colour with foamy, brief white head. Fruity nose with notes of mandarin, orange peel and citrussy hops. Fruity taste with orange, mandarin and a fresh, hoppy finish. Slightly soapy hints. Rather thin body. Nice and summery. maeib (4677), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England Jun 13, 2004 Cask conditioned - handpump - Evening Star Brighton. Golden coloured bitter with a slight hop aroma. The taste is hoppy with orange notes and a bit of bubblegum in the aftertaste. chriso (4667), London, Greater London, England May 17, 2004 Pale gold colour. Slight indistinct aroma. Clean on the palate, but rather soft and short of grip. The flavours are not too well developed. Slightly grassy sharp edge on the finish. A bit soft for a bitter, but not crisp enough for a quaffer. OK but unexceptional. Short on character for a beer of this strength. Not one of RCH’s more distinguished efforts. Cask (handpump), Lord Moon of the Mall (JDW), Whitehall, London SW1.
