Faint slightly dusty aroma, perhaps some fruit developing. Strong doughy, bready malt taste with unfocused bitterness. But I rather like this. cgarvieuk (4184), Edinburgh, Scotland

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 9, 2007 Cask-conditioned at the Bag O’Nails, Bristol 9/12/07. This was a standard bitter rather than a Christmas beer. Pale amber colour with a decent white head that left plenty of lacing. A slightly sweet malt aroma with some grassy hops. The flavour also inclined towards sweetness with a decent dry finish. Good.
