oh6gdx (8794), Vasa, Finland Dec 30, 2008 Cask. (ABV 4.5%). Slightly hazy pale amber colour with small beige head, that lasts for a while. Aroma is flowery and mild fruity hops along with some wooden hints. Flavour quite much the same with some grassy tones in the finish. Not much Xmas over it, unless it pretends to be Santa’s sweat or something. downender (2528), Bristol, Gloucestershire, England Dec 14, 2008 Cask-conditioned at the Rising Sun, Frampton Cotterell, S Gloucestershire 14/12/08. ABV per the pump clip was 4.5%. Golden coloured with a short-lived white head. Aroma of apricots, pears and honey with some floral hops. Flavour was sweet, with biscuit malts, strawberries and more pears and some citrus hops in the finish. A bit of a surprise as a Christmas beer but ok. mjs (1445), Helsinki, Finland Apr 17, 2008 (From old notes, cask at Pullman Bar on 2008-01-04) A bit hazy beer having a rather beautiful head. Very light body, feels a bit like dishwater with hops added in it.
Hops appear clearly both in taste and nose. Also some sweetness in taste. Only connection to Christmas (if this is a Christmas beer in 1st place) is its name. Magicdave6 (5383), London, Greater London, England Dec 24, 2006 Aroma is citrus hops going onto peachytness with biscuit malts coming through. Taste is similar floural at times and perhaps not as peachy as i like them but still nice with a decent bitter finish. GarethYoung (1110), Glasgow, Scotland Dec 20, 2006 [Cask from The Three Judges] Peachy and floral notes, grainy malt, citrc. light toasty, bready malt, dry. ante (2904), Stockholm, Sweden Dec 22, 2005 Cask at Akkurat, Stockholm. Clear golden, low dissapearing head Strong grassy aroma, notes of sweet pears and apricot. Dry mineraly and grasy flavour with subtle notes of oranges and raspnerries. Papery dry aftertaste. An avarge bitter with bohemian lager accents. MrWalker (927), Stockholm, Sweden Dec 16, 2005 Cask @ Akkurat, Stockholm Rather blonde for a seasonal beer like this. Fruity and malty and RCH house taste. Are they using lager hops (saaz?) for this? harrisoni (6703), Ashford, Kent, England Sep 4, 2005 Cask gravity dispense at Blakes, Dover December 2004. Ruby colour with thinnish head. This ale has some good malt and not bad for a Christmas seasonal
