daniellerose7 (119), new york, New York, USA Jan 28, 2008 A nice dark brown ale, hints of hickory. It’s okay, but there are so many other brown ales I would choose first. Not enough body. On tap at the Flying Saucer.
blutt59 (798), Dallas, Texas, USA Oct 10, 2008 bottle, dark cola color, head is foamy but fades, nose is nutty malts, has a nice caramel malt flavor with a dry cocoa finish, a little watery WeeHeavySD (1866), San Diego (Hillcrest), California, USA Oct 9, 2008 12oz via thickfreakness. Pours brown with a tan head. Nose is underwhelming and malty. Taste is sweet and subtle and overall an okay brown ale. highibus (270), Vail, Arizona, USA Oct 5, 2008 nice crimson brown weth thin whie head. decent aroma for a brown. medium to thin body with roasted malt finish. Pastor (280), Maine, USA Oct 3, 2008 Thanks to mhewes for this one
Bottle poured into a standard pint glass produced a standard two fingers worth of tan head that stuck around for a while. The body on the brew was the obligatory brown in color
Aromas of sweet malts are very pronounced up front as well as a slight roastiness that entered my nose later
Good roasted malt flavors with a hint of hops at the end to keep it from being too sweet in your mouth. The mouth feel is medium and enough carbonation for the style.
Good drinkability on this one is great. A good brown ale all around would be a excellent session brew
ilovedarkbeer (766), Dallas, Texas, USA Oct 3, 2008 Black brown reddish color with a small bone colored head. The appearance makes me want to pass already. Nose is vegetables, bubble gum, nuts and syrup. The taste is like coffee and water. Cheap coffee, I am talking about Foldgers and some hot bottled water you found in the trunk of your car shaken up. Weak effort. No thanks.
