AndrewKScott (335), Lemont, Illinois, USA Jul 15, 2008 Pretty good ale. Has a spicy aroma, and a roasty, malty taste. Finish is very dry. Pretty good for a brown ale. If I ever get a chance to pick this up again, I probably would.
punkeedo (378), San Antonio, Texas, USA Sep 1, 2008 2008 Bottle. Wonderful aroma of caramel, sugar, and nuts. Appears a dark brown with little head. Tastes of alcohol with a wonderful nutty aftertaste with a hint of malt. Palate is perfectly balanced and similar to a belgian ale. Wonderful. gringo332 (74), Texas, USA Aug 24, 2008 Updated: Aug 29, 2008Darker than I expected. Moderate head. Wonderful aroma of chocolate and coffee. Flavor reminds me of non-sweetened chocolate. (16), Houston, Texas, USA Aug 12, 2008 There’s a lot of bad brown ales out there, this isn’t one of em’!! This beer pours a pretty dark brown. The nose is roasted malt and a slight dark chocolate too. Taste is of medium roasted coffee beans, and a slight sweetness. A Decent amount of hops keep that sweetness in check!!!! Good Solid Brown!
