Gold/yellow pour with a white head. Very nice aroma, bready, malty and crisp. Flavor was the similar, lots of grain, malty and very drinkable, I could see myself drinking this on a regular basis if it was available. (1031) Dogbrick (2906), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 18, 2009 Sample at the Texas Beer & Brats tasting 10/11/2009 (as both Alamo Golden and Firemans #4). The beer is a slightly hazy golden color with a thin white head that burns away quickly. Grainy malt in the nose as well as light grassy hops. Light body with mild hops and malt flavors (and some sweet fruit in the case of Alamo). The finish is clean and malty with notes of corn (and tropical fruit again with Alamo). Barely average in both cases.
