Dec 28, 2009 Draught from san antonio as Alamo golden ale. Poured a translucent gold, nice bit of fruits with some gracc and hops. Really good, really drinkable.

Dec 4, 2009 Tried this at Hotel ZaZa Dragonfly Lounge on a recent trip to Dallas. Pours a straw color with a thin white head. Aroma of light caramel and some biscuity malts . Taste includes lots of fruity notes, grasses, yeast and some light spice. Moderate carbonation and mouthfeel. Nothing incredible but certainly drinkable.

Nov 30, 2009 Thanks Cavie. Pours a soft straw gold with a one finger frothy white head. Nose is sweet, malty, bready, lite honey, some hay. Flavor shows corn, wet hay, very mild metallic bitterness, some off flavors. Palate is mildly bitter and well carbonated.

Nov 26, 2009 Bottle: Pale gold color with light white head. The nose is lightly husky with some deeper toasty malt notes as well. Thin body and a lighter mouthfeel with more lightly bitter hops, metallic husky malts and a grassy finish.

Oct 31, 2009 bottle thanks to blake. Pours clear yellow, aroma of yeast, funk, apple, Flavor to match, with some hay, grass and some spiciness. Medium mouthfeel, not bad.

Oct 19, 2009 12oz bottle from my brothers buddy Brent in Texas, thanks man. Rating #150. Gold/yellow pour with a white head. Very nice aroma, bready, malty and crisp. Flavor was the similar, lots of grain, malty and very drinkable, I could see myself drinking this on a regular basis if it was available. (1031)

Oct 18, 2009 Sample at the Texas Beer & Brats tasting 10/11/2009 (as both Alamo Golden and Firemans #4). The beer is a slightly hazy golden color with a thin white head that burns away quickly. Grainy malt in the nose as well as light grassy hops. Light body with mild hops and malt flavors (and some sweet fruit in the case of Alamo). The finish is clean and malty with notes of corn (and tropical fruit again with Alamo). Barely average in both cases.
