Bockyhorsey (1961), Mesa, Arizona, USA Jun 29, 2008 Draft @ Flying Saucer Draught Emporium (Houston). Pine and floral aromas. Copper body with off white head and some lace. Good juicy citrus flavor with medium bitter bite. Cool and crisp on the palate. Good refreshment.
hop_lover (114), Corpus Christi, Texas, USA Aug 17, 2008 Updated: Aug 18, 2008I was extremely impressed with this one. My first impression was that it almost smells and feels like a lager. Must have fermented in low temperatures. This was definentely one of the lower IBU IPAs I actually like. This great beers pours a hazy golden color with a relatively small white head. Not one of the hops overpower each other. Very well balanced and quite mild for the kind of hops used. The aroma is a little fruity and floral and the flavor tastes like it smells. Nice light hop flavor lingers for a while. Quite a refreshing and extremely smooth IPA. The best from Real Ale by far. Thanks Real Ale.
The Lord bless the hop harvest! RaginCajun (257), Dallas, Texas, USA Aug 14, 2008 Typical IPA aroma w/ lots of floral hops. Good malt profile before hops kick in. Almost too sweet, but good enough. Most IPAs are too concentrated on the hops side; this one gets bonus points for having a good malt profile in addition to a solid hop character. mmm///beer (529), Austin, Texas, USA Aug 14, 2008 (Draft at Alamo Drafthouse-Lake Creek) Served in shaker- very nice one finger white head with HEAVY lacing with each sip, turbid tan/copper in appearance. Aroma of hops, citrus, and a note of grapefruit. Hits the mouth with a high-medium body, malt is extremely pleasant and enjoyable, hops come in the middle with notes of sweetness in the background as they took me away to a magical place- very well balanced overall and hard not to have the whole drink in less than 5 minutes. The big question- is this better than... Two Hearted? My opinion- you’d better keep one eye open late at night Larry and pray Real Ale doesn’t make this on a regular basis!!! MaltOMeal (274), Land of Sugar, Texas, USA Aug 12, 2008 draft at Flying saucer. Pours a clear golden with a white head. Nose is pine and floral hops. Taste is sweet, fruity citrus. Mouthfeel is medium with a dry, bitter finish. Suds_McDuff (1013), was CapeTown,SA-now Houston,TX, Texas, USA Aug 7, 2008 been wanting to try this for quite a while ... went to boondoggles and they knew nothing... lacing is extraordinary, low head but very stable and crazy good foam .. smug? ... is a rich golden colour ... nice bitters ... a good beer, didn’t quite meshing with the others.. another great brew from Real Ale..
