Solid beer and one I’m glad to have around. I know I have a strange place in my brain for this beer style and can’t completely put my finger on why. While this stands on its own, it also somehow pays its respects to the style in having a rich, malty taste with a bitter finish that I enjoy.

Nov 22, 2009 A very appealing O-fest. Creamy mouthfeel with wonderful malty goodness. TBS- the malt is not overt in any way, but restrained and subtle. A lovely beer that I wish had been around a few weeks ago when O-fest were what I was craving.

Long-black hair dude: What was the name of your band?
Pours an average amber with an aroma of burnt leaves and roasted malt. Nice, lingering moutihfeel but a thin body. Not bad; I’d drink this again.

Oct 17, 2009 On cask. Hazy orange amber with a fading off-white head. Aroma is malty and toasty. Taste is crisp and toasty with some corn notes . Light carbonation, cask mouthfeel.

Oct 16, 2009 On tap at the Gingerman Fort Worth. The smell is malts, sweet, grains, and caramel. The look is orange in color, off white decent head. The taste is sweet, malts, caramel, and grainy.

Oct 2, 2009 On tap at flying saucer. Pours a cloudy copper gold with a small frothy white head that leaves decent spotty lacing on the glass. The aroma is light hop with wheat grass and coriader. Thin mouthfeel with a bitter wheat grass and grain with a clean finish. A good marzen from real ale.

Sep 27, 2009 On tap at Flying Saucer. Pours a clear amber with a white head. Nose is of spice, grass with an earthy and nutty aroma. Taste is sweet enough with an earthy, graininess to it. Mouthfeel is medium-thin and watery with a slight bitterness and carbonation. Not a good oktoberfest.
