Commercial Description:
Deep golden and malty, with a spicy hop flavor and a subtle, well-balanced hop bitterness, Rio Blanco is a uniquely Texan interpretation of an English-style pale ale. The addition of Czech hops gives the ale a refreshing crispness and flavor that will satisfy you under the hottest Texas sun.

Tap: Weaker pale all. Kinda light easy drinking beer. Pleasent but unremarkable.

Bottle from Gene Simmons of Kiss. Pours orange with a styrofoam-like head. Tangerine hop nose and tangerine hop flavors dominate with a gritty, grainy finish at the end. Body is medium, bitterness is mellow. I dont like the finish...kinda unrefined.

Pours from bottle, cloudy, deep amber. Two fingers of foamy head that mellows out quickly. Aroma of grass and bread. Medium sweetness, medium bitterness, medium body, creamy, with average carbonation, with a long sticky finish.

Bottle from bhops - Thanks, Bernard. Pours a white head over an orange-yellow glass of beer. Nose is a bit thin here: a slight yeast and citrus sensation hits me first and the initial taste is sweet and hoppy, but the hops is not the citrus and pine that I was expecting. The tail of this flavor train is a bit dry enough but with a clear sensation of candy sugar lingering. Meh.

12oz bottle from my brothers buddy Brent. Rating #243. Clear dark gold pour, with a small white head. Aroma is light hops, a little piney and a little bready. Nice bite to it, a little dry, some sweetness as well and just a little earthy, pretty tasty overall. (1085)

bottle, pours a hazy orange with a medium off white head. Biscuit malt and floral hop aroma. Nicely balanced sweet toasted malts and bittering hops ending dry. A very good pale ale.
