Poured clear pale color with a minimal frothy white that diminished quickly with virtually no lacing. Moderate grass hop aroma. Light to medium body with a watery texture and soft carbonation. Light sweet flavor with a sweet finish of short duration. More drinkable than my expectation. barleyPops (1081), Quad-Cities, Illinois, USA

Not a bad Lager I thought, certainly it represented a bit of variety from the omnipresent Red Stripe. A bit of a hoppy feel here, unless I imagined it. Quite refreshing and balanced with a nice mouthfeel. Not bad. mjg74 (2000), La Mesa, California, USA

| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Mar 13, 2006 Straw colour with a whispy head. Slightly grainy aroma, maybe some light hop. Grainy, sour taste...not entirely horrid but has little to offer besides a late bready pale malt note. DarkElf (2681), La Jolla, California, USA

Finally, a beer that isn’t horrible. Not that Real Rock is anything to alert the media about, but compared to the swill I’ve had to endure tonight, this is liquid gold. Grainy, mildly sweet, slightly bitter and hoppy with a hint of spiciness, this actually is palatable. Slight cardboard in the finish is a distraction. Corn and grain aromas are moderately sweet, but there’s no sign of the spice or hops in the nose. Light bodied, bordering on thin and watery, but with sufficient liveliness on the palate from zippy spice and ample carbonation. Clear, pale golden in color with a thin, white head that demonstrates exceptionally poor retentive skills, fully dissipating with a minute. Not that good, but not horrible, and that is high praise indeed compared to most of the pond water that comes from this part of the world. omhper (12247), Stockholm, Sweden
