Very citrusy. I think this was like 2.99 for a bomber. marvinpontiac (117), Huntington Beach, California, USA

Aroma was of grapefruits and other citrus fruits. Tons of hops going on. Wished there was a better malt balance going on here. mkobes (2104), paramus, New Jersey, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 18, 2006 Gigantic egg shelled colored head sits atop a cloudy gold body. If you rate the aroma without mantioning piney or floral, you must be hard of smelling. Flavor is nice and hoppy with even more pine needles jabbing the palate. Just a bit thin body wise, but this shit is really drinkable. Some grapefruit zest in there as well. eaglefan538 (2369), Wilmington, Delaware, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 17, 2006 Poured an amber color with a very nice initial head and good lacing. The aroma was full of citrus and grapefruits. The flavor was citrus and grapefruits, some pine and floral notes. Man, this was really hoppy for an American Pale Ale, not much malt going on underneath, much like an IPA. ross (1709), weddington, South Carolina, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 11, 2006 Bottle from Patrick (bindpmc) Thanks! Dark red / orange colored pour with a nice head that coats all the way down my shaker. Hoppy in flavor and easy to drink. Smells grassy and fruity. I dunno, this seems to be under rated to me, because I feel that this is damn fine. Really one of the better examples of an APA I’ve had. Awesome brew. beastiefan2k (1603), Lawrence (formely NYC), Kansas, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 9, 2006 Hey its a hopped up Pale Ale from the West Coast. What a surprise. never imagined somebody would "enhance" a style by just adding in a bunch more hops. Actually, I wouldn’t even call this a Pale Ale, its more like a DIPA light. It less like a SNPA and more like a GD Hercules Lite (i see a brand new marketing campaign for this beer). Basically, I am lowering my overall score because of the brewers lack of creativity.
