This was a great hoppy pale orange with a slight red tone. Thick off white head and a perfect big flavor...perfect palate...Excellent pale iratherbe (255), Marlton, New Jersey, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 6, 2006 For not being a lover of hoppy pale ales I must admit this was rather enjoyable. Nice muddy orange brown color, solidly built head and some fine lacing. Strong hop prescence yet not overpowering at all. Taste was a pinch floral and somewhat herbal too. Blended well with the malt to form a pleasant bready flavor that finished well. RCWCPACFP (102), New Jersey, USA

In this price range I think I will back off and go get a Clipper City that will give me my hop fix. Yes it is fruity (that’s good) but not intimidating at all. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 2, 2005 Large light tan head of fine bubbles. Creamy on top. Light carbonation. Nice hoppy aroma with plenty of bitterness. Little bit of spruce and resin. Light roasted malts also and a bit of honey. Color is a bright orange amber. Well balanced flavor between the malts and hops but is lacking in strength and character. Nice lingering hops bitterness with more sweetness (honey) and roasted malts. A very easy drinking beer. Grapefruit at the finish which hangs around for a while. A decent easy drinking pale ale. Walt (2289), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Nov 24, 2005 Pour is orangey amber with a soapy big bubbled tan head...smell is chemical and hoppy...some pine, but something astringent...maybe bleach...taste is very bitter...that’s about it, except for the horrid chemical flavor... hopscotch (5549), Vero Beach, Florida, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Nov 19, 2005 Bottle... Murky, caramel-colored ale with a small, creamy, off-white head. Tons of floaties. The aroma is breadsy with notes of dried, yellow/orange fruit, caramel and butter. Lightly bitter, lightly tangy and astringent. Medium-bodied with lively carbonation. Finishes a little bitter and bone dry. Thanks go out to growler for sharing the bottle with me!
